| Meet Our Teachers: Caren Goin, Director
This is Ms. Caren's twelfth year with Stepping Stones and third year as our Director. She brings her extensive classroom experience to her work as an administrator and strives to meet the needs of students, parents, and staff.
Ms. Deloris has been with Stepping Stones for 11 years. She is dedicated to her family, and strives to bring the same feeling of togetherness and family unity to her Stepping Stones classroom. Her primary focus is helping her students to develop school preparedness skills, with emphases on object recognition and naming, counting, and beginning reading (with a weekly reader), in addition to cooperative play.
Ms. Krista has has been with Stepping Stones for 4 years. A mother of two, Ms. Krista brings her love of art and photography into the classroom. In addition to working on her students' letter, shape, and color recognition, counting, and sight reading, she makes art projects a regular part of students' daily activities. Like many of our teachers, she also integrates sign language and basic Spanish into her curriculum.
Ms. Darlene has been with Stepping Stones for 11 years. Among other activities, Ms. Darlene loves to cook and dance, and she shares that love with her Stepping Stones students. In her class, students are still developing their academic and social skills, and structured play and sharing are balanced with ABC's, and counting--in English, Spanish, and sign language!
Ms. Tay is in her second year with Stepping Stones. Ms. Tay is a mom who works to create a fun, structured environment for her young students. Whether they are painting, playing, dancing, or singing, the Ducklings are building their knowledge of ABC's, counting, and shape and color recognition. Ms. Tay also has education in nursing and is a CNA.
Ms. Delores is beginning her third year with Stepping Stones. Her warmth, gentleness, and love of family are all obvious in her work with the infants in the Itty Bitty Bug class. Ms. Delores knows that babies are all different and strives to work with parents to set a schedule that best suits their child.
